GREATNESS!!! That is all I can say for what happened at 6:30 PM ET, January 22, 2006 STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, CA. History was made, Kobe went off on a scoring clinic against the Toronto Raptors. 81 POINTS in a game and I was able to witness history and NBA greatness. The seventh anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s 81 point game has come and pass and for the first time Kobe has sat down and watched his performance. While he watched Kobe Bryant posted on his Twitter account and commentated about his performance through his tweets. “I can’t believe I’ve never watched this game till now.” The embedded video will catch you up on this greatness.

Kobe Bryant “The Recap”

Kobe-Bryant

Kobe Bean Bryant is one of the greatest players to ever play the game. His outstanding ability to play has had him compared to other Lakers Hall of famers such as Magic Johnson. Though Kobe and Magic have two different play styles they both contributed so much to the Lakers franchise bringing ring after ring to Los Angeles. The comparison does not stop there Kobe is also compared to Michael Jordan “The Greatest” player to play the game. Who is better you may ask, but that decision is up to you.

Kobe Bryant was drafted straight out of Lower Merion High School in 1996 he was the 13th overall pick by the Charlotte Hornets and then was traded to Los Angles immediately. This may be one of the biggest steals in the history of the NBA.

As a Shooting Guard in the league in Kobe’s 16 years has accomplished so much and he is a guaranteed first ballot Hall of Fame player no questions asked. Kobe has achieve so much.

Kobe the Greatest Of All Time.

Have the Lakers got their “Mojo” back?

The 2013 season of the Los Angeles Lakershas been riddled with injury and unsuccessful attempts at obtaining a consistent win streak. The Lakers started this season off with a three game losing streak in this 2013 season raising eyebrows around the league. The rated overall team in the west was no longer looking like a dynasty, but more of a washed up team. Lakers General Managers did not like what they were seeing, this lead into the immediate buying out of coach Mike Brown’s contract, and the search for a new coach began.

The Lakers found and hired ex Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks coach Mike D’antoni. This was perceived to be an excellent pick up for the Lakers due to D’antoni’s offensive and fast break genius. He also already had the respect of his former player Steve Nash and the respect of one of the greatest players in the game Kobe Bryant.

With a new coach at hand the struggles were far from over due to many injuries, Steve Nash, Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard, Steve Blake, and Jordan Hill all experience missed games due to these injuries. The Lakers season was not looking promising.

Surprisingly with these injuries the bench players had stepped their game up incredibly, veteran Antwan Jamison has really taken charge coming off the bench leading the second regiment in scoring, and the new development of 25 year old power forward Earl Clark has taken the starting position over Pau Gasol. With the return of Nash, Howard, and Gasol the  Lakers look to be as if they are ready to make a run for a spot in the playoffs. The Last two games against the Utah Jazz and last years Western Conference champions Oklahoma City Thunder the Lakers had put on an amazing offensive tear. All four star players scoring double digits and having double digits in another statistic. Kobe has changed his game as well dropping 14 assist in the last two games. This is starting to look good again for the Lakers hopefully they will be able to keep this going in tonights game against the Hornets. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rj2rVG9_OQw
